WIN got the 2023 16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards

WIN Semiconductors has participated in the assessment of TCSA Sustainability Reports since 2020, and got the "Gold Award" in 2023, affirming our performance of the responded to stakeholders’ concerns and disclosures in the report. WIN is dedicated to making self-improvement and transparently disclosing in ESG practice.

Regarding the environment, WIN responds to the government’s net-zero policy and promises to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In 2021, We established an "Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Task Force" to initiate net-zero carbon emissions planning, and fully drive greenhouse gas and energy reduction to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions. The TCFD framework is introduced, and formulated strategies and actions in response to climate change, identified related risks and opportunities on the Company to increase climate resilience. WIN participated in the National Enterprise Environmental Protection Award, the highest honor in environmental protection, for the first time in 2022 and won the Bronze Award, also rated at the "Leadership Level" by the CDP for the first time.



In terms of society, we implement the retention and cultivation of talents, and encourage employees to get married, have children and raise children in peace of mind. We provided employees with monthly parental subsidies for each child under the age of 7 from 2019, the amount of subsidies reached NT$138,250 thousand as of the end of 2022. We strive to create a workplace environment with gender equality, and continue to invest in issues of concern to female employees and sets targets for reaching the target proportion of female employees and female managers by 2025, and we were selected into the GEI for two consecutive years since 2022. In order to nurture talents in the semiconductor industry, we cooperated with Tamkang University, Longhua University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan University, and established a joint technology innovation center with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University to conduct industry-academia collaboration and technology research and development.



On the governance aspect, we continue to improve information transparency, and ranked top 5% among TPEx-listed companies in corporate governance evaluation for nine consecutive years. We actively participate in international sustainability ratings and have been selected into DJSI Word Index for three consecutive years since 2020. In 2022, the actual attendance rate of Compensation Committee and Audit Committee were 100%, the actual attendance rate of Board of Directors was 91.53% which exceeded the goal of 85%. In order to provide directors with more opportunities for communication and exchanges, directors are still encouraged to attend the Board of Directors in person.



WIN Semiconductors upholds the spirit of sustainable management, and actively plans the blueprint for sustainable governance with the three main aspects of "Environmental, Social and Governance." In addition to responding to stakeholders’ concerns through the sustainability report, we will also keep reviewing and enhancing ESG actions.
