TAIPEI, TAIWAN June 07, 2000, adapting itself to the rapid growth of the wireless component business, WIN Semiconductors Corp. (WIN) is announcing its plan to increase its capital investment for fab construction and equipment purchasing before the end of year 2000. This decision was made at the first BOD and Shareholders' Meetings since its establishment. WIN has started fab construction on the first 6-inch GaAs MMIC production facility in Asia area. This facility will provide foundry and OEM services for the global wireless and telecommunication markets. It is expected that the establishment of WIN will solidify the foundation of GaAs MMIC production technology in Taiwan.
